It has been a while since I have introduced myself.
I'm Georgie the owner and director of Luxe and Beau. We recently undertook a huge project to transform a large 1980s house into our dream home.
We weren't at all prepared when we found this house. We hadn't completed the renovation for the current house we were living in and it wasn't on the market, but we knew we were ready to leave it. Before I had walked through the new house I knew exactly how I was going to renovate it.
We purchased the house in June of last year and settled on the property mid July.
This house was in original condition (seriously original). We really had our work cut out for us but the bones were great.
Over the next few weeks I will be sharing our new home with you starting with our Master suite.
This room had two walk in robes and an ensuite. We decided to give up the smaller walk in (my husbands 🙊) to create a much larger ensuite. My clever brother in law built our beautiful ensuite. https://beauandcoprojects.com.au/
We used arabescato marble for the bench tops with some contemporary lighting and brass finishes. I didn't want this room to feel like a boring stark bathroom I wanted it to feel like a beautifully decorated space.
I really wanted to keep my walk in robe open. I have some beautiful designer and vintage pieces that I love to look at. Its not for everyone but I love having all of my favourite things in eye shot. I find it inspiring.
I tossed and turned with the direction of our bedroom for months. It took months to select the fabric for our bedhead as we were in lockdown and unable to visit any of the showrooms I would normally go to. I am so thrilled with this gorgeous floral I found on etsy.
Next week I will share our entry and formal living areas with you all.
